Hello, little one. It's Mumma. I have a story for you.

Summer comes with a big, warm sun. The days are long and full of fun. The neem tree gives a cool, kind shade. Up on the roof, our beds are made. A soft breeze comes, so cool, so slow. The stars come out, row by row. Sleep, little one, this song is for you.

Then rain comes dancing, drop by drop. Pitter, patter, on the rooftop. The dry earth drinks, and smells so sweet. The grass grows soft under our feet. The peacock dances, feathers wide. Our paper boats float by outside. Sleep, little one, this song is for you.

Then winter comes, all soft and grey. The fog wraps up the start of day. We snuggle in our quilts, so tight, Then sit out in the warm sunlight. We tell old stories, one by one. The dew drops sparkle in the sun. Sleep, little one, this song is for you.

Then spring comes in with flowers bright. The mustard glows in yellow light. New leaves grow on every tree. The bees go buzzing, one, two, three. Our kites fly up into the blue. The koel sings, "Kuhu, kuhu." Sleep, little one, this song is for you.

The moral
“Every season brings its own gift.”

Talk to your baby

Summer, rain, winter and spring each bring a gift. Every season will sing for you. And I will sing with them, little one.

Say this aloud, slowly, or in your own words.

I love you, little one. You are safe. We are together.
